Luis Silberwasser

Live, from Max, it’s a sports streaming tier. The long-in-the-works, $10/month add-on debuted in October just before the MLB playoffs and is home to live coverage of the NBA, NHL and NCAA March Madness. Veteran programmer Silberwasser, who formerly helmed Telemundo and TelevisaUnivision, also knows the importance of growing the base. Under his watch, the company’s sports portfolio last year increased viewership across its premium properties despite a challenging television marketplace. TNT posted its most-watched NBA in-season and postseason coverage in five years, live NHL on TNT telecasts jumped more than 50% in average audience YOY and TNT Sports delivered the most-watched Stanley Cup playoffs coverage on cable. And he’s been teeing up plenty more action on TNT, TBS and truTV. In November WBD’s sports group notched a seven-year media rights deal with NASCAR beginning in 2025.
