The Weather Channel’s Local Now app has the distinction of being the only 24/7 local video news streaming platform serving 230 markets in real time. It has a little bit of everything, 300-plus streaming channels, including local offerings such as News 12, Weather Channel and, of course, a Local Now channel in every DMA. It even has a mix of custom channels, such as Weather Gone Viral and Family Flicks. The localized, personalized approach has paid off. The app has surpassed 2.8 million downloads. It reaches more than 2.7 million people each month through OTT, mobile and TV platforms such as Roku and Apple TV, with the over 69 million minutes of content consumed each month.
