Paige’s talents extend beyond creating forward-thinking marketing efforts that redefine how audiences engage with content and break rec-ords for BET’s tentpole programming like the “BET Awards.” She’s a co-founder of the Black Executive CMO Alliance and even executive-produced a digital campaign for the 2024 Grammy-nominated Best Rap Song, “A Love Letter to Hip Hop.” Paige was recently appointed to Television Academy Foundation’s board.
What is your favorite way to de-stress? I am fully committed to a work-hard/play-hard lifestyle. This includes binge-watching TV, taking long walks or runs, having a great dinner with family and friends and enjoying beautiful vacations.
What celebrity would you hire for your company? John Legend! His intelligence, creativity, passion for humanity and vision for a better world would be a valuable addition to any organization. Not to mention, he could provide great music during lunch breaks, town halls, etc.
TV series everyone should binge: I’m currently binge-watching “Diarra From Detroit” on BET+. The show revolves around Diarra, a 30-something-year-old woman who returns to her childhood home after a recent divorce. We get to dive into the Detroit underground with her as she solves a cold case sparked by a Tinder match she believes to be the adult version of a boy famously abducted in the 90s. The show has an exceptional cast with guest appearances by legends like Ms. Phylicia Rashad, Morris Chestnut, Harry Lennix, and more.
Book, movie, or TV series that greatly influenced my leadership style: ‘The Hard Thing About Hard Things.’ While many people talk about how great it is to start a business, few are honest about how difficult it is to successfully run one. Ben Horowitz analyzes the daily hurdles leaders face and shares insights gained from developing, managing, selling, buying, investing in, and supervising technology companies. A lifelong rap fanatic, he amplifies business lessons with lyrics from his favorite songs, telling it straight about everything from firing friends to poaching competitors, cultivating a CEO mentality, and knowing the right time to cash in.
