As Warner Bros. Discovery’s resident distribution guru, Kane led the successful launch of Magnolia Network earlier this year with a steady hand and strong communications to ensure affiliates felt taken care of through the seamless rebrand of DIY Network. She’s also been supporting the long-term subscriber growth of Spanish-language network Hogar de HGTV, directing digital awareness campaigns, direct mail communications and event sponsorships.
“This past year a song that I play on repeat has been ‘Starting Over’ by Chris Stapleton. After 23+ years at Discovery, it’s pretty cool to see things with a new point of view. ‘This might not be an easy time… But nobody wins afraid of losing… Someday we’ll look back and smile, and know it was worth every mile.’”
What’s one thing you wish been told early in your career? The letdowns will all feel like failure when the truth is it’s the path forward. Every letdown or promotion you didn’t get will drive you to work that much harder and smarter. Find a mentor to guide you through the letdowns and help you to rebuild, it will change everything. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have amazing advocates in my career who each brought something unique to my development journey. They literally changed the course of my career.

And we’re good at it.
