What benefits should companies consider offering to support women advancement and to make the workplace more equitable? Corporate America needs to place a higher value on caregiving. We cannot reasonably expect more women to enter and stay in the workplace without simultaneously finding effective alternatives for the critical work that women have traditionally performed at home, usually without pay—that of caring for children, relatives and friends in need.
