John Landgraf

Years in Industry: 30

Education: Pitzer College

Motto I Live By: Tell the truth, especially to yourself

Landgraf led FX to another successful year with successful series including “Pose” and “American Crime Story: the Assassination of Gianni Versace,” the former nominated for a Golden Globe and the latter a winner at both the Golden Globes and the Emmys. Some execs offer lip service when grilled about diversity, but Landgraf produced results, filling director spots on FX programming with diverse candidates. Additionally, he’s expanded FX+’s availability. It’s unknown how FX will be affected creatively by the Disney acquisition, but it’s likely Disney will follow the old adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”

My prediction for direct-to-consumer video is… Disney+ will be very successful.
