What podcast do you recommend for current and/or aspiring leaders? The Optimum Insider LinkedIn Series! This is a great video podcast where our Chairman and CEO Dennis Mathew interviews leaders from across the company to give an inside look at what’s happening at Optimum.

What benefits should companies consider offering to support women advancement and to make the workplace more equitable? At Optimum, we value and celebrate all our employees’ differences. We have eight employee affinity groups, including a women-advancement group that regularly holds meetings and panels catered towards development and leadership skills for female employees. I act as an executive sponsor for that group and feel it is an integral tool helping support our female colleagues. All companies should provide employees with opportunities where they can learn from strong female leaders and leaders from various backgrounds.

What do you believe is the next big disruption facing the industry? In my role, I work very closely with vendors and see a lot of the changes and trends happening in the industry. I must agree with many people, Artificial Intelligence seems to be the biggest disruptor right now. At Optimum, we’re hyper-focused on innovation and are exploring the many ways AI can help our employees and our customers, and we’ve already seen a significant impact. I still believe there is much left to be explored with AI and we have to be cautious, but I’m excited for the continued potential AI provides us.
