Each day, 22 US veterans take their own lives. However, a trained service dog can greatly improve the situation, which is why Armstrong partnered with Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs in Florida to get more trained dogs into the arms of vets. Armstrong committed itself to raising $110,00—enough to train 5 service dogs and donate them to local veterans in need. Through TV spots, long form videos, community fundraisers and support from local businesses, Armstrong exceeded its goal and raised $180,000. That number means 8 dogs will soon be helping those whose sacrifice cannot be measured. Thankfully, Armstrong has continued the program into 2018.
