“A skill I am working on is speaking last! I tend to jump to the answer, but I find that’s not the best method for getting people on board. Fostering an open dialogue can create a more collaborative environment and I want to hear what everyone else thinks.”
How has embracing your authentic self-shaped your leadership style? We do a lot of work at the Studio on self-awareness and vulnerability, and as a result, I know my superpower is my enthusiasm. Rather than dampen it. I’ve learned to embrace it. That passion and enthusiasm has allowed me to win over talent, as well as rally my team to results.
What’s the toughest part about being a leader in the industry? Creating clarity and focus for my staff while the landscape is ever shifting. Being willing to bet on your creative instinct in the face of so much uncertainty in the market. Finding talent and projects that can break through the noise and find a global audience. These are all challenges we are all facing as leaders in an industry experiencing extraordinary change.
