The Crown Media Family Networks tapped into the evangelizing power of “When Calls the Heart’s” devoted #Hearties fanbase on Facebook and Twitter by delivering a series of five Social Live conversations with key cast members. The aim was to ensure fans tuned in for the premiere of Season 8 and helped spread the word. Each live conversation happened before key episodes of the series and lasted between 20-55 minutes. The fans stayed engaged throughout thanks to Q&As moderated by “Entertainment Tonight’s” Deidre Behar, games and the direct access to the show’s stars. The Hearties are well known for their passion and dedication, so these live social events were a wonderful way to give something back while providing greater insights into how the show they love so much is made. The simulcast Facebook/Twitter Lives and posts promoting the series garnered 3.8 million impressions and more than 300,000 engagements.
