Countdown to Christmas Marketing Campaign

Is it really Christmas without the Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas campaign? Year after year, the Crown Media Family Networks team finds a way to make the season even merrier and cut through holiday clutter to promote Hallmark Channel’s ambitious slate of movies. Last year’s comprehensive campaign included outdoor and guerrilla marketing activations promoting the holiday stunt at local pumpkin patches and Christmas tree lots as well as a Hallmark Channel takeover at a local car wash. Additional highlights included Wyndham Suite takeovers, a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day float, a NYC Grand Central Station takeover, a sweater car fleet in multiple markets, a gift wrap display at the Crown Media headquarters wrapping the entire building, plus a billboard featuring a custom countdown clock counting down to Christmas Day. Of course, there were also ads across traditional media as well as paid and organic social and tie-ins with Sirius XM featuring Hallmark Channel Radio, Drybar, Legoland, The Republic of Tea, Hershey’s and others. All that holiday cheer paid off with Hallmark ranking as the #1 entertainment cable network with W25-54 in Q4 for the sixth year in a row.
