Season one of “Get Shorty” exploded out of the desert and charmed our socks off. How is it that so many modern episodic TV shows are so good at getting us to love people who, if we ever met them in real life, would have us buying extra deadbolts for our front door? Best not to think about it too deeply. Just watch this sharp, scary, very funny series and enjoy.
