Ionita is the architect behind both of Ownzone’s core products: the Connect platform, a low barrier-to-entry solution allowing content providers to transcode their titles for OTT platforms, and Ownzones Discover, a media delivery solution with analytics capabilities designed to help content owners increase profits and reach wider audiences. He’s particularly proud of the company’s cloud-based transcoding and preview technology as well as the automation harness around it, which allows customers to operate at faster speeds with zero upfront cost. For Ionita, the focus isn’t on the major technological jumps that are more likely to receive press attention. For every complex problem, he identifies the smallest developmental increment that would bring user value and starts there.
