Playing the brilliant yet also somewhat flawed Albert Einstein is a role that could have descended into parody in the hands of many actors. Yet Geoffrey Rush’s performance in the National Geographic Channel’s first scripted series was pitch perfect. It in no way ran away from the great physicists’ popularized mannerisms, but rather wrapped them around a genuine character, reminding us that the great man was, of course, just a person after all.
