To promote National Geographic’s first fully-scripted series “Genius,” the network brought revered physicist Albert Einstein back to life (in a sense). A customized chatbot allowed users to engage with Einstein via Facebook chat. Condensing advanced physics into understandable answers would have been enough of a challenge without also having to account for internet trolls looking to get an inappropriate line of conversation going… but the bot performed admirably, generating millions of views and promoting the series with distinction.
