How do you promote your first scripted series, announce that your network now creates premium content AND energize an audience to be interested in a dramatic biopic of a public figure whose universally well-known discovery is almost as universally not understood? Simply create the best ad in the 2017 Super Bowl, of course. Actually, the ad was the cherry on top of an extremely well-made cake, consisting of strategic events in SXSW and Washington DC, targeted social and print campaigns to the groups most likely to appreciate the series, and unique technology such as a chatbot impersonating the show’s namesake, Albert Einstein. All together it made for a stunningly effective campaign.
