FOX’s new TV app is a stunning shift away from the traditional delivery experience, worthy of high praise for its beauty and intuitive design. With goals to increase content libraries and eliminate barriers to entry, Fox endeavored to “build an app that feels more like TV,” including a simplified Interface, curated content, more control and more availability of sports events, full TV series and movies (adding up to 600 hours of content). Praise of the app would not be complete without mentioning its beautiful new UX design, which broke the stymied concept of thumbnails and key art, providing full-bleed video as the backdrop to content selection, solidifying the immersive concept.
