Connected safety devices in the home have become more and more standard, and yet such enhanced systems can be out of reach for many consumers. That’s why Universal Electronics, Inc. created FireFighter, which works with existing fire prevention devices to detect alarms sounding and then wirelessly send notifications to the homeowner and/or monitoring stations. It’s a cheaper option for those who can’t afford to upgrade their in-home systems and a workable one for those with homes that lack even the possibility of such an upgrade.
