Many speculated that 2020 would be AVOD’s year, and that has only meant great things for Massoudi. The service claimed 25 million active monthly users at the end of 2019, and users on average are watching over six hours of content each month. Fox noticed the growth and took the opportunity to expand its own advertising portfolio by buying Tubi for $440 million in March.
