Playing Mo, the shady founder of a recreant Wall Street firm who may or may not have a connection to the infamous stock market crash of 1987, Cheadle has once again found a character whose imperfect moral character is masked by pure charm and charisma. The character is as much a comment on the ‘80s as on the unethical business dealings that led to the titular event, but viewers are usually too busy containing their shocked laughter to notice. Another great performance from one of the best in the business.
