The continued growth of Boingo Broadband is thanks to Hagan’s innate ability to turn small businesses into major successes coupled with Callahan’s strategic insights. Callahan continues to expand Boingo’s international reach through a partnership with Charter Spectrum focused on growing Boingo’s Passpoint roaming integration, which will lower cellular costs for the troops the company serves. And as CEO, Hagan is already working with broadband manufacturers vendors, and other industry players to prepare for the 5G revolution.

If you wrote a “Black Mirror” episode, what dark side of technology would you explore and why? In the not-distant future, robotics and AI, combined with incredibly efficient food production, will enable us to effectively stop working. What motivates us to get up in the morning, when subsistence is a given? Who are we if the need to strive is eliminated? How do we connect with one another when we’ve spent the past 30 years communicating into a device rather than in person?
If I ever get elected President, my first executive order… Will be to eliminate clickbait headlines and outlaw paid content schlock. If I can save the world from clickbait like “You won’t believe what she looks like now!” or “This crazy trick eliminates belly fat” it’s worth the Nobel Prize.
What would be the name of the reality show based on your company? “The Amazing Race to 5G”

Bitcoin – pro or con? Pro, but not immediately as there are still fundamentals being perfected (i.e If it can be hacked, it’s ain’t ready for prime time). There’s no doubt blockchain (on which Bitcoin and other digital currencies are built) will revolutionize everything from identity management to contracts, and that is as exciting to me as the possibilities for currency.
An area where media/broadband could use improvement? The public deserves a fortress between editorial and paid advertising on any media site. Simply labeling paid content as “From Our Partners” is not enough, as the public does not understand that means “This Is Advertising.”
