The Smithsonian Channel has already racked up 23 Emmy nominations and won four Emmys for its original programming, making it the youngest channel to have won an Emmy. Additional honors include the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation’s 2017 Major Norman Hatch Award for “The Unknown Flag Raiser of Iwo Jima” and a 2017 NAACP Image Award nomination for “Major League Legends: Hank Aaron.”
