Watson has control over all aspects of the Comcast Cable business and is overseeing its continued rapid expansion. His successes include surpassing its 2023 goal of exceeding one million homes passed with broadband, for a total of more than 62 million homes reached. During the past year he also steered major initiatives including Xfinity 10G network upgrades; the debut of the industry-first Storm Ready WiFi device, which maintains connectivity through storms or major local outages; and the evolution of Comcast’s relationship with Charter Communications on its Xumo offering, including the debut of the first Spectrum and Xfinity Stream Boxes. Watson is never one to rest on his laurels, so look for more innovations in the coming year.
