Elevated to her role in 2023, Walden is among four Disney leaders responsible for realigning the company’s media business to create a more streamlined approach that offers creative leaders more authority and accountability. She and her co-chairs oversaw this spring’s rollout of Disney’s new one-app experience that makes general entertainment content from Disney and Hulu available to bundle subscribers through Disney+. She was deeply involved in structuring a groundbreaking distribution agreement with Charter that maximizes value to consumers and may influence how distribution deals are done in the future. Under her guidance, Disney Entertainment Television generates more than 4,500 hours of programming per year, and that quantity is bursting with quality. The Walt Disney Co. received 37 Primetime Emmy nominations this year, more than any other company. As if that’s not enough, Walden is the only representative from the media and entertainment industry to be named to President Biden’s Export Council. She’s also active in Disney’s mentorship program and was presented in 2021 with Harvard’s Undergraduate Women in Business Lifetime Achievement Award.
