Between them, Sanders and Valenti have content covered at the newly minted Amazon MGM Studios. Sanders oversees series development and programming, a roster that includes “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “The Boys” franchise, “Jury Duty” and “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” and one that delivered 68 Emmy noms this year—the studio’s most nominations in a single year. Under the purview of 30-year industry veteran Valenti, the studio is curating a slate focused on broad and global storytelling. Since her arrival last year, she’s landed several high-profile packages and greenlit several films including The Artists Equity feature “Unstoppable” and Jennifer Lopez project “Hail Mary.”
TV series everyone should binge: “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”: it is my latest obsession. Donald Glover and Francesca Sloane brilliantly reinvented this title: it is riveting, funny, emotional and wildly thrilling.
Movie that greatly influenced my leadership style: There is an old film my family and I watched when I was growing up, “A Man For All Seasons,” and it is about a man who was known for having a very strong moral code, for always telling the truth no matter what the consequence. I was deeply moved by this story and have found it central to how to lead: everyone you work with must trust your intentions and know that you will be straight, truthful and direct with them no matter what.
Favorite way to de-stress: Take a very long walk with my big personality corgis.
