Cable One and its family of brands—Sparklight, Fidelity, Hargray, ValuNet and Cable America—are committed to advancing education, strengthening communities and improving lives across nearly 1,000 cities and towns in a 24-state footprint. To support these efforts, Cable One launched the Charitable Giving Fund in 2021. The fund annually awards $250,000 in grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the communities served by the Cable One family of brands, with a focus on organizations that help with education and digital literacy, hunger relief and food insecurity and community development. Cable One publicized the fund through local press, social media and its monthly customer newsletter. In its first year, the Charitable Giving Fund received nearly 500 grant applications. The fund is an extension of the company’s ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts, which include the donation of more than 2,000 Chromebooks to Title I schools, planting more than 120,000 trees through the Arbor Day Foundation on behalf of customers who switch to paperless billing and supporting the mission of Keep America Beautiful in cleaning up and beautifying communities across the U.S. What’s more, the spirit of giving back is embodied by Cable One associates, who spend thousands of hours every year giving back to the cities and towns they call home. Cable One is the kind of company that folks are proud to call their neighbor.
