Conway knew it wanted to transition to IPTV in 2022, and the best way to move forward with minimal customer disruption was to move to a fully supported cloud-based system. Doing so meant the headend, development, customer service and LAN teams coming together to complete huge changes to billing systems and processes. The LAN teams provided secure connection to a San Diego data center for the legacy set top and digital system controls, and the headend groups had to stand up a duplicate digital system to facilitate a complete move to the new system with new hardware.
