Charlie Collier

Years in Cable: 23

Education: BA, Bucknell; MBA, Columbia

Anyone who was wondering how AMC would survive once “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad” ended their groundbreaking runs doesn’t know Collier. He’s led the network—which in 2016 was home to four of the top seven cable series for A18-49, live +3—to even greater success. “The Walking Dead” marked its fifth consecutive season as TV’s No. 1 series, and its popular after show, “Talking Dead,” has become the top talk show on TV. Newer series such as “Preacher” and “Better Call Saul” also have continued that momentum. At the same time, under Collier’s care SundanceTV saw its highest ratings yet, with a double-digit increase in its target demo, A25-54. Collier has more original programming slated for SundanceTV including “Liar” and “Murder in the Heartland: In Cold Blood Revisited,” plus the much anticipated return of “Top of The Lake,” with Nicole Kidman joining the cast alongside Elisabeth Moss.
