“This book is not about leadership per se—it’s about women’s brains as we age and how to thrive. ‘The Upgrade,’ by Dr. Louann Brizendine, is a wonderfully insightful, helpful and even comforting book for women working to understand the chemical changes in their brain as they move through their 40s, 50s and beyond. How do you know when it is time to take a risk at your job or in your career? I think it’s helpful to redefine risk and instead think of making a change in your career as taking a step forward, with confidence you will always find a new path and that one step forward leads to another.
