Through her leadership role in CCAD (Combined Conditional Access and Development), a Comcast-Arris joint venture that develops products focusing on conditional access systems and security, Kimball has worked on initiatives such as DTA (digital television adapter) technology development. The initiative aims at accelerating Comcast’s transition to all digital and increased HD content offerings. She also seeks to improve controller architecture, which can enable rapid deployment of new releases to the field, with enhanced consistency and stability. Kimball’s interests and contributions extend beyond Comcast, including her involvement with Athena San Diego, as a member of the San Diego United Way Women’s Leader- ship Council and her role as a Girl Scout troop leader for more than eight years.
