McCarthy’s responsibilities only increased after the Viacom-CBS merger, adding Comedy Central, Paramount Network, Pop TV, Smithsonian Channel and TV Land to his purview. In 2019, MTV and VH1 had eight of the top 10 reality series on cable in P18-34, and MTV, VH1 and CMT saw record years on social, pulling in video views of nearly 12 billion. And on the kids side, Nickelodeon had a great year under Robbins’ leadership, launching an unscripted division and striking an output deal with Netflix. Could be why Robbins was promoted in November!
