What is your Roman Empire? My Roman Empire without a doubt is the weather! Ever since I was a little girl, I had a passion for weather and sports. I am fortunate to work in sports so weather really occupies my mind the most. I could watch The Weather Channel every day and, most days, I have it on in the background. And I hate to admit it: I do my own “weather forecasts,” and my husband is my camera operator! I have been fortunate enough to be around world-class athletes and the only time I was star struck was when The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore was at the stadium. I was in awe. He is one of my idols!
What’s a routine or ritual that keeps you grounded? Before any big shoot, Media Days, or just something “big,” I always have a solo dance party/sing-in-the-car moment. It allows me to reset and to remember: We work in sports—have fun and enjoy the opportunity. It just sets the day off well. A go-to song choice is “Dance Monkey.”
