The sci-fi anthology show has, in the past, given us some of our most cherished television. What makes being a fan of Black Mirror so interesting is the clear sense, right away, that the show is a stone-cold masterpiece, destined to be a classic in its own right. We haven’t been in the presence of such a sharply written and disturbingly prescient storytelling since Rod Sterling’s classic “The Twilight Zone,” a standard that Black Mirror seems set to perhaps topple and surpass. It’s that good.
