Signage on subway trains has become fairly common, so Comedy Central took it up a notch to promote new series, “Awkwafina is Nora From Queens.” In the week leading up to the premiere, Awkwafina became the guest announcer on NYC’s 7 train, with a recording of her voice announcing every stop. There were also some comedic special announcement thrown in as riders traversed between Manhattan and Queens. It was the first activation of its kind, receiving widespread press, and generating an estimated 36 million+ media impressions during its flight.
