Amy Doyle

Doyle took on an expanded role this year, adding the MTV and Logo brands to her prior role overseeing VH1. She’s been a driving force in the resurrection of MTV’s “Total Request Live,” capturing what made the show great in its heyday and adapting it to a new generation. As a result, MTV has been a success story for Viacom during a transition year. Doyle is also an advocate for women in the workplace. “The topic of sexual harassment will continue to dominate the headlines because brave victims are coming forward and exposing how pervasive it is, and has been, in the industry,” she says.

Who is your favorite current female TV character and why?
Daenerys Targaryen because of her strength, confidence and strong moral compass. Never underestimate her!

What industry topic do you think will dominate industry headlines in 2018 and why?
I think the topic of sexual harassment will continue to dominate the headlines because brave victims are coming forward and exposing how pervasive it is, and has been, in the industry.

What famous woman, living or deceased, would you like to have dinner with?
I’d love to have dinner with my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. T, who passed away a few years ago. Long after I left her classroom we continued for years to have inspiring conversations, she always lifted me up!
