Allison Wallach

Unscripted programming is thriving at Fox with Wallach at the helm. It contributed to a year of ratings wins, with celebrity competition series “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” back for a sophomore run and the 10th season of “The Masked Singer” underway this fall. Her purview also includes “Next Level Chef,” whose post-Super Bowl Season 2 premiere delivered 17M viewers, TMZ, and in-house studio Fox Alternative Entertainment.

“What’s been eye-opening about the young professionals I’ve mentored is that they’re fearless and confident from the outset.”

Who is a good example of a powerful woman in entertainment and why? I’ve always been inspired by Carole Black and Dawn Ostroff. When Lifetime branded itself Television for Women, they needed a strong female voice to lead the way, and they found that in Carole. She was a breath of fresh air, incredibly smart, and as the head of Lifetime, she embraced her femineity instead of being ashamed of it, which included wonderful champagne and strawberry celebrations. At the time, there weren’t a lot of female executives, but to this day, she personifies female leadership, does things her way, represented the Lifetime brand with style and class, and was a pioneer of her time as an ardent champion for Breast Cancer Awareness and Stopping Violence Against Women both on the network and personally.

Dawn is another amazing role model and someone who works harder and smarter than anyone I know. I’ll never forget her non-stop work ethic, carrying around giant bags filled with scripts, budgets and reports everywhere she’d go. She was also a very maternal leader in the way she cared about her teams, yet as the epitome of a strong, badass woman, she unapologetically and successfully navigated a man’s world by simply being the best at everything she did.
