San Diego Comic Con attendees have limited time and a lot of ground to cover during the four-day convention each summer, so Shapiro makes sure her attractions are ones fans want to visit. She spearheaded experimental in-world events such as the Mr. Robot E-coin cryptocurrency rollout, beginning with a pop up Bank of E/Red Wheelbarrow BBQ activation. The campaign allowed fans to immerse themselves in the “Mr. Robot” universe, building anticipation for the show’s Season 3 premiere. Shapiro serves on the board of Scenarios USA, a group that uses writing and film to engage young people on important issues.
