Weiss develops creative solutions to strategic business issues through analyzing data and evaluating key industry trends. He has helped EPIX close several significant multi-platform distribution deals and renewals with major MVPDs, including Verizon Fios, Cox, DISH and Frontier Communications, and has supported new deals with emerging platforms like Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, Amazon and Hulu. He’s also played a key role on the integration team following the purchase of EPIX by MGM in May 2017. What attracted you to this industry?
I loved the idea of going behind the scenes of a product that people know, love, and interact with every day. I was also excited about working in an industry that’s changing at such a fast pace, where every day looks different than the last.

What is your favorite app these days?
Not that it’s very original, but probably Twitter. There’s no better place to be during the big moments in sports, entertainment, news, or politics. Plus, it’s a constant reminder of how sane I am relative to most people on the Internet.

What product or service can you not live without?
TripAdvisor. My wife and I love to travel, and I’m obsessive about planning. Before a trip I’ll spend countless hours reading TripAdvisor reviews to find the best hotels and restaurants, and after a trip I always pay it forward by writing my own reviews.
