Sparklight highlighted its commitment to connecting communities with its “A Stronger Connection” campaign, which allowed individuals throughout its 21-state footprint to nominate a fellow community member by sharing a photo and describing how the nominee works to build connections in their community—whether through volunteering, caregiving, teaching, as a first responder or other ways. Entries were open from Aug. 10 through Sept. 5 with 12 winners selected. Each winner received a $1,000 prize, and most of the funds were put back into the community. Sparklight highlighted unsung community heroes, including an Arizona mom who developed bikeways to improve pedestrian and cycling safety in her community and a Missouri pest-control business owner who supports youth sports, color guard, school music programs and more. The campaign highlighted and expanded the good work already being led by community members throughout the states Sparklight services and generated increased social media engagement and dozens of earned media placements for Sparklight and its associated brands.
