The Say Yes to the Prom initiative has long been a success at bringing joy to students that otherwise may not have been able to attend their high school dance, and last year it aimed to spread even more happiness. The team worked closely with Altice and Mediacom to plan in-person shopping days for underserved students. More than 1,000 dresses were donated across two weekends at five of Altice USA’s Optimum and Suddenlink retail stores, and only 50 remained to be donated at the end of the shopping events. Mediacom connected fifty-five students with prom attire, gift cards, prom tickets and mentors from Mediacom and Drake University to create a longer-term impact.
