EVP, Programming, BET Networks

Mashariki is a big reason behind BET’s recent success. She oversees scripted and unscripted programming, as well as original programming development, to keep the 90 million households the network serves coming back for more. Having joined BET in April 2015 from Fox Searchlight, Mashariki has exhibited a passion for storytelling, creative vision and extensive knowledge of the network’s audience. She’s excellent with building strong relationships with filmmakers and creatives, which has resulted in past successful projects including “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,” “The Last King of Scotland” and “The Secret Life of Bees.” She has received the Delta Sigma Theta “Impact” award and has been recognized by the African-American Film Critics Assn.
