Why Him? Negotiations may get heated, but Beaty always keeps his cool. The technology that will most benefit cable over the next year is: SMA (Security-Monitoring-Automation). The Internet of things using next generation Internet connectivity will expand today’s Security-Monitoring-Automation systems exponentially over the next five years. On World, a technology research firm, predicts that 50 million buildings globally (mostly residential) will be equipped for automation by 2018. Forward-thinking cable operators will take advantage of this burgeoning opportunity to drive new revenue.
