In 2005, when McDonald’s wanted integrated marketing campaigns for African-American and Asian-Pacific-Islander women it turned to Vicky Free, its director of women’s initiatives for the U.S. When Turner needed consumer-centric, integrated marketing for high-profile series like The Closer and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne it also turned to Free, by that time its VP of Entertainment Marketing for TBS, TCM and TNT. Now she’s facing another challenge: touting product to young adults and kids as the newly installed VP of 360 Consumer Marketing. Few are better qualified to conceive multi-platform, integrated initiatives for this demo, whose media-viewing habits are non-traditional and mercurial.
