Marketing of a Special or Documentary/Documentary Series | VH1 – The Breaks

 For VH1 it was imperative to make “The Breaks,” an original movie about the hip-hop business that captures the soul of hip hop in NYC in the ‘90s, truly event television. For instance, it teamed up with the Scope Art Show during Art Basel to create an interactive lounge space and performances by The Breaks star Mack Wilds. The cast did numerous appearances the month prior, at Webster Hall’s House Party, Red Rooster Harlem and The Brooklyn Museum—to name a few. The film was so successful that it’s been picked up to go to series on VH1 in the fall.
