When it comes to influential content, management that gets out front on big issues and a general willingness to take bold risks, Turner is one of the most exciting companies in cable. And as if the nature of the work itself wasn’t enough, employees also get a number of other perks and benefits as part of the Turner family, including its Total Rewards portfolio that offers everything from on-site fitness centers to sports venue certificates to discounts on myriad services and products to tuition reimbursement and up to $10,000 in adoption assistance to Service Recognition Leave for tenured employees. In fact, the list of benefits is literally so long we can’t even begin to include it all here. What’s more, in 2011 Turner took a fresh look at its work flexibility policy to create simple tools and guidelines to make it easier for employees and managers to work out arrangements. Turner also has some of the strongest diversity programs in the industry, including its Turner Women Today and Black Professionals @ Turner groups in which small groups of mentees are matched with an executive mentor pair (The 2010 program included 250 participants). And several employee volunteering programs highlight Turner’s commitment to giving back. There’s more, but we’re out of room.
