What does the multiscreen experience look like in 3 years?
All members of the tech-savvy household will be using multiple devices to watch both live and on-demand content in the years to come. Mobile app engagement will continue to grow during which families are simultaneously watching digital content on their favorite streaming devices, SmartTV’s, or gaming consoles.
How do you keep yourself and your team engaged and informed on the changing multiscreen universe?
We read the various tech blogs and scour social media for news and updates on companies that we’re following on the content side as well as the technology side. In addition, we have our own internal meetings where we have an opportunity to discuss trends we’re seeing with our partners to help make predictions on what we think will happen next.
To what degree will measurement factor into multiscreen monetization in 2016?
Understanding the level of engagement on digital content will be absolutely critical as publishers move their core businesses into applications on various platforms. In addition, understanding how their audience interacts with those applications will add a new dimension to understanding their viewing habits, which will lead to more accurate content recommendations and higher engagement.
What are your 3 go-to apps?
Netflix, Amazon Video On-Demand, and Nickelodeon on Roku .
If you had to spend a month in the virtual reality, what would your environment be?
I would definitely want to spend some time in space, hopefully with a blaster and lightsaber at my side.
