This James Beard Award winner is an expert on food and wine, but he’s more amiable than pretentious. Allen keeps his cool during the mayhem that ensues from a cooking competition and asks just the right questions to get the judges going. He’s been host of the series since 2009, and as it’s one of Food’s most popular series, there’s no end in sight. Kudos for Allen for keeping each new course fresh and delicious.
