You can thank her research on Gen Y humor for the development of the much-loved Tosh.O. And it was her persistence with greater HD penetration for Comedy Central and Spike TV that encouraged stronger negotiations and boosted distribution deals. On multitasking, Giles takes some advice from her friend and mentor Colleen Fahey Rush, who once told her to “be where you need to be… For me, that means that I do not look at my Blackberry from the time I get home until my kids have gone to bed. But it also means that when I’m at work, I’m 110% focused.”
