Hsiung oversees the production companies creating a long line of series and movies for presentation on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior, and she supports the ABC Family production team. She unwinds by practicing yoga. “It is part of my life and health,” Hsiung says.


What’s the most important aspect of mentoring?

We are fortunate to have a formal Mentorship Program at Disney ABC TV Group, in which I have been both a Mentee and a Mentor. For the relationship to be mutually successful, both parties must give time, attention and true interest. I appreciate honesty and vulnerability.


Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

One of my colleagues says there is no such thing as Work-Life Balance only Work-Life Better. This concept allows me to forgive myself for not being able to have it all. I can only do what I can do. I try every day to find “Better.”


Your favorite trick for unwinding?

Yoga! It is more than a way to unwind, it is part of my life and health. I recently started a work-based yoga program to encourage my colleagues to discover the benefits of a healthy body and a quiet mind.
