In addition to maintaining the legacy of the Hallmark brand, McAvoy oversees consumer, advertising and affiliate marketing, as well as creative services, including print, on-air promotion, and Web design. She also serves as the key liaison with Hallmark Cards in developing synergies with its other brand extensions and the nearly 4,000 Hallmark Gold Crown retail stores. “My headset is my tool and trick!,” she says. “I could not make it through the day without it. It allows me to walk around my office, go to the printer, get a cup of coffee, talk to my assistant, go in other offices, and more! Too bad I can’t take it to the bathroom!”
